Enfield at War 1914-1918: Update

There have been several notable developments since the opening of the Enfield Museum Extraordinary Heroes exhibition.

'A County at War - Life on the Home Front in Hertfordshire’, a new documentary commissioned by the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire and produced by the University of Hertfordshire, features a computer generated segment on the Schütte-Lanz SL.11 airship, using a 3D CAD model supplied by Berry Place.

Additionally, Eileen Bostle’s new book, ‘Enfield’s Night to Remember - the airship raid of 2nd/3rd September 1916’, features a image of the model Schütte-Lanz SL.11 airship, which resident modelmaker Matt photographed for the Berry Place website.

Following the success of the documentary, Berry Place designer Nathan Chapman received a letter from the Countess of Verulam congratulating his work on the model of the airship, mentioning the digital model of the zeppelin was one of the most amazing parts of the film.

The exhibition is currently open and runs until 11 January 2015. www.enfield.gov.uk/museum
