Dom Pérignon 'crown' on display at Harrods in celebration of the Queen's Jubilee

To celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Harrods are showcasing 35 crowns in the Brompton Road windows, each one designed for a luxury brand.

Creative agency Chic approached Berry Place to build the prestigious Dom Pérignon crown - the only champagne brand to be given the honour of a display.

The crown, made out of approximately seven kilograms of glass, drew upon the expertise and materials of Peter Layton's London Glass-Blowing Studio as well as three experienced Berry Place modelmakers and the whole piece took just 5 weeks to build and deliver.

All elements of the crown pay tribute to the design of the bottle - the cushion is constructed out of cork, the crown is colour-matched glass and the foil closure is identical to the original bottles. The one-of-a-kind model even appears to fizz by a clever internal lighting system constructed in-house at Berry Place.
